National Award-winner Shabana Azmi has been suffering from swine flu. She went for a routine check-up for cough and cold and now the actress is recovering in the hospital.

However, she is using the time for productive pursuits, IANS reported.

"Rarely, do I get a chance to lie back and introspect. This is an enforced break for me, I have not been in contact with any swine whatsoever. But I am in hospital recovering fast," said Shabana.

Shabana Azmi had recently attended Jaipur Literature Festival.

The Neerja actress also shared a picture with Shobha De on her Instagram handle. She captioned it, ''With my schoolmate #Shobhaa De at Jaipur Litfest today.''
